A Newborn Portrait Session encapsulates the precious and fleeting first few moments of your new arrival's life, all of their tiny details and their wonderful new-ness. You may be brand new parents ready to embark on the epic journey of family life or your tiny baby may be the newest addition to your gang, either way, these are moments in your family history that deserve to be celebrated with beautiful and timeless portraiture. These first moments will be gone in the blink of an eye and your newborn will soon be growing and changing every day, but your portraits will last forever, through your life time and for the generations after.

When...
Newborn Sessions take place within the first couple of weeks of your baby's arrival, 'ideally' when they are around 2-3 weeks old as this is when they are most sleepy and able to curl up in to those adorable womb like poses. However, do not panic if your precious baby has already arrived and you haven't booked your session yet, please get in touch today and I will find a last minute appointment for you! And remember, it is never too late to capture their first portraits.

Where...
Sessions take place at my gorgeous Newborn Portrait Studio at my home in Gosport (PO13), just 5 minutes from junction 11 of the M27.

How...
Your session will consist of 3-4 hours of chill out time, while you sit back, relax and enjoy watching your sweet baby being handled with love, gently rocked off to sleep and photographed using my beautiful selection of soft blankets, sweet little bonnets and rustic props. The session will be completely led by your baby with plenty of time for feeds, cuddles, set changes, and more cuddles to keep little one happy and relaxed while I create beautiful, unique and timeless newborn portraits that your family will treasure.

The session will be focused on your newborn, however there is nothing that I love more than capturing tender family moments, sibling cuddles and first family portraits. This is such a special time for you all and your tiny baby wont fit in your arms like that for long. This moment needs to be documented for you, your baby and for your future selves to look back on!

And don't worry, your older child(ren) won't have to hang around for the whole session, I will begin the session with your family portraits and sibling portraits and as soon as these have been captured your other child(ren) can be taken home or outside to play at the local park or soft play centre by a second care giver, while we focus the rest of the session on your sweet baby.

After your session your gallery of portraits will be lovingly edited in my unique style which includes reducing newborn skin issues like flaky skin, redness, jaundice etc, so you don't have to worry about any of those things. When your gallery is complete you will be invited back to the studio for your Viewing and Ordering Appointment where you can enjoy a beautiful presentation of your portraits.
I will guide you through the package options and my beautiful range of Wall Art and can help you with any tricky decisions!
This appointment will take place around two weeks after your session and will be your opportunity to place your order, with payment being taken on the day and you'll usually be able to download your digital goodies the same day.

Booking Your Session

I will book in a pre session telephone consultation with you, to discuss everything in more detail and to start planning your session, including your favourite props, poses and colour schemes. When you are happy that I am the Newborn Photographer for you, I will email you an invoice for the £75 session fee which will complete your booking and secure my availability around your due date. I will then wait to hear from you once your little one has arrived, so that we can confirm the date for your session.

Your Newborn Session includes:

A pre session telephone consultation.
A Newborn Portrait Session at my bespoke Studio (approx 3-4 hours).
My time, experience, creativity and baby soothing wizardry!
Use of my extensive collection of props, fabrics, wraps, bonnets and dainty hair ties.
Parent, sibling and family portraits.
Professional retouching of your photographs.
A Viewing and Ordering Appointment at the Studio (3 weeks after your session).
Approx 30 fully edited portraits to choose from.
*The session fee does not include any products, your package choice and payment is made at your ordering appointment*

Session Fee - £75
